Effective: August 12, 2026
Stowed is built so that we never see your data. This policy is short because there is almost nothing to disclose.
Nothing. Stowed has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of our own. We cannot see your photos, your inventory, your lists, or anything else you do in the app.
On your device. Photos, item names, boxes, places, and packing lists are stored locally on your iPhone.
In your own iCloud. If you are signed into iCloud, Stowed syncs your inventory through your private iCloud database. That data is governed by your Apple Account and Apple's privacy policy; we have no ability to access it.
Item photos are analyzed (background removal, naming, categorization) entirely on your device using Apple's frameworks. Photos are never uploaded to us or to any third party for processing.
The optional "Stowed Unlimited" purchase is processed by Apple. We receive no payment details and no personal information about you.
Settings → "Export everything…" produces a complete archive (JSON, CSV, and all photos) that you own and can take anywhere. Deleting the app deletes the local copy; your iCloud copy can be removed in iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage.
If this policy ever changes materially, the change will be listed here with a new effective date. Questions: livin2021@gmail.com
